The Lifegiving Parent Book Review

*Disclosure: I was given a complimentary copy of this book by Tyndale House Publishers for review purposes. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Lifegiving Parent, written by husband and wife authors Clay and Sally Clarkson, is a guide for parents looking to instill biblical and godly principles in their homes and in their children. It provides life-giving practices that parents can apply in their lives to help nurture, train, and and instruct their children using the love of Christ. The practices if applied with love and patience, can help them learn and grow into their identities not only as children of earthly parents but of a Heavenly Father as well.

I love the fact that The Lifegiving Parent comes at this whole parenting thing from a biblical and Christian perspective. In a world bombarded with unrighteousness and ungodliness, it becomes increasingly important that we protect our children from these things and instill in them what they need to grow into thriving believers of Christ. Using the ideas in this book will help you nurture your child’s spirit through training and instruction, giving them a positive influence and and a desire for the the things of God. This would be a great book for first time parents so their new family could get started on the right foot. I would definitely recommend this book for any parent who needs a little push in the right direction when it comes to aligning their family with biblical truths.
