This Too Shall Pass

“But this I call to my mind, and therefore I have hope. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end; They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.” ~Lamentations 3:21-23

Has life ever thrown you one curveball after another, leaving you asking “What else, Lord?” There have been seasons in my own life where a series of unfortunate and untimely events have left me feeling bruised and battered, exhausted and frustrated, not sure if I could take one more bad day. I felt as if everyone around me was floating around on cotton candy clouds surrounded by puppies and rainbows and there I was weighed down with every crazy thing that could possibly happen to a person. I felt like when people looked at me all they could see was the frazzled, frustrated crazy lady inside that was only hanging on by the handle of her coffee cup. So believe me when I say, I’ve been there…and you are not alone. But no matter what situations where thrown my way, I knew that the Lord was with me, whether I felt Him or not. He has a plan and a purpose; even all those bad days are there to teach us this: When it is the hardest to do, we must have FAITH. Believe in Him, believe He will pull you through…and He will. Having a positive outlook even when the skies seem gray is what will help you weather the storms of life. And when you make it out on the other side, don’t forget to praise God for His faithfulness and everlasting love.

“God has a purpose for your pain, a reason for your struggle, and a reward for your faithfulness. Don’t give up!”-Dave Willis
