Fear Not

“Fear not, for I am with you. I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”-Isaiah 41:10

Have you ever been asked to do something that scares you or is outside your comfort zone? Is your first reaction to run and hide and pretend you didn’t hear anything? Well, I have and I have definitely tried to run and hide a few times…mainly because I have always lacked the confidence to say “Yes, Lord..I can do that”. I have always been more comfortable just staying on the sidelines..the always willing cheerleader, never the quarterback. But in the past few years, God has been working on me and I have felt His calling for me to grow and become more confident in Him and His Word. Writing this blog has been my stepping out in faith, me going outside of my comfort zone…and it is completely terrifying for me. God has put it in my heart to write, share, uplift, and encourage in a way that is my own and completely His at the same time. And although it’s quite a daunting task for me, I do it because, for now, that’s what God has called me to do…an exercise in obedience. So, if there is something the Lord has put on your heart to do, do it with faith.. without fear. Let Him mold and make you, grow and change you into a willing vessel for His glory.

“Be on your guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. ย Be strong. Do everything in love.”-1 Corinthians 16:13-14

  1. What a great testimony that may well minister to others who read this and may be fearful of stepping out in faith and doing something they feel they have a “knowing” in their spirit that our Father is calling them to do. I too can personally identify with the feelings that sometimes war within us when He taps us on our “spiritual shoulder” and calls us out of our comfort zone on the sidelines into a “new” place in Him.
I, for one, am thankful you walked in faith and persevered.
