Attitude of Gratitude

“Do all things without grumbling or disputing.”-Philippians 2:14

Sometimes as a stay-at-home mom of three sweet(but sometimes rowdy) little boys, it’s my job to handle some of the not-so-pleasant tasks that little boys come with. Muddy shoes, dirty hands, bloody lips, and a variety of foul-smelling odors await me daily and sometimes its hard to be joyous about cleaning up one more mess or refereeing another argument. But in my heart I know that is what God has called me to do and I am to do it with a willing and grateful attitude with no grumbling or complaining…something I constantly have to remind myself. I am able to stay home and teach my children and watch them grow and learn. I want for nothing and my needs are always met, and for that I am so thankful. In the big picture of life, I have it easy when others do not and situations I think are frustrating are trivial in comparison to what many others deal with on a daily basis. So this is a reminder to myself first, to always remember how fortunate and blessed I am no matter how I feel about the next sticky mess or smelly diaper. My children are my blessing so I will be here, loving the messes and stresses and everything in between…living the good life!

“In everything, give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”-1 Thessalonians 5:18
