Soul Refreshment

“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me.”-Psalm 51:10-12

I have been learning a lot lately about what happens we don’t take care of our spiritual lives and the importance of God’s grace and mercy. As wives, mothers, or just busy people in general it is so easy to let some things slip through the cracks, including our spiritual lives. When we start slacking in certain areas, our flaws and weaknesses and ugly spots begin to show and most of the time, what we see…it ain’t pretty. Sometimes it takes a hit to our pride to realize what our hearts and minds should be set on. God is faithful and merciful and will renew our hearts and minds, you need only call on His wonderful name! Pray to Him, get into His Word, ask for His guidance and His words to fill your heart. Let go of any wrongdoings, whether they be yours or someone else’s. Give them to Yahweh because he can and wants to carry your burdens for you. Doing these things will renew your hearts and refresh your minds so you can be the light you were meant to be.

“But this I call to my mind and therefor I have hope. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness.”-Lamentations 3:21-23

  1. This was refreshing! Great reminder to put Him first, even though He can be the thing we put last. All things will come together when we put Him first!
