Yes, forgiveness…it’s a hard one sometimes, but without it we would all be lost forever. I think it’s an important skill to learn and is the key to a happier life. Now, I will admit that sometimes when someone hurts my feelings or ruffles my feathers, I will stew on it for a while, letting it simmer in all the done-me-wrongs of the past, until I am bubbling and boiling over. Then my lid flies off and I’m left with a mess to clean up, all because I let that one action or one word consume me and weigh me down. Whether it’s because of a simple disagreement or from much deeper pains of the past, I urge you to take that heavy weight of unforgiveness off your shoulders and lay it down at Yeshua’s feet. Forgive-Give it to Him and you can stand taller and breathe easier and your life will be happier.
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”-Ephesians 4:31-32
“Come to Me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”- Matthew 11:28-30
