“Behold children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.” -Psalm 127:3
I am a mom to three awesome little boys. In life, there are some things that can’t be put into words. Some things you just have to experience to know its true meaning. No amount of book reading or friendly advice can prepare you for motherhood or parenting in general. The moment you see those two pink lines or hear baby’s heartbeat for the first time, an internal emotional change begins to take place. Your world is no longer about you. It’s about giving your most and best to nurturing and caring for that new life that was created by love. The feel of your baby moving inside you…there is no way to truly convey what an absolute miracle that is. When the hard work is over and you finally see your baby and hold him close and feel his fingers wrap around yours-that is love! On the other hand, sometimes as a woman you experience loss-the kind that turns your life upside down and breaks your heart. One day you are gloriously, happily pregnant and the next day you aren’t and you are overcome with a sadness you can’t truly express. Because as a mother, you job is to protect your children, whether they are running around your feet or growing inside you. And for a split second, the loss seems like you failed. But then you realize God is in control and He is taking care of your little one now. Only then can you heal and move forward. My children are so special and God has given them to my husband and I for a reason. I only pray that I can lead them, teach them, raise them to be the men they are meant them to be.
“Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10
